Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw the next day’s portion in the refrigerator overnight (or for 4-6 hours) in a covered container; do not microwave. Some liquid when completely thawed is normal. Once you know how much your dog needs on a daily basis, you may also keep up to 4 days worth of food in the refrigerator, so it is defrosted and ready to go when you need it. Thawed MuttGut® Sous Vide food will maintain optimum freshness for up to 4 days under refrigeration.

Divide daily serving size into 1-2 meals for adult dogs or 3-4 meals for puppies. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, breed, and activity level. Puppies may need up to twice the daily amount of adult dogs. Please refer to the feeding chart as an initial recommendation and adjust amounts based on your pet's individual needs. Always have clean, fresh water available for them to drink.

Feed approximately 2 oz of food (2 nuggets) per 5 lbs of adult body weight per day.

New Users: Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food slowly, over 7-14 days (take more time if needed, especially for extra sensitive pets). When transitioning from kibble to MuttGut®, wait at least 8 hours after the last kibble meal before feeding Sous Vide. During the transition period, gradually increase the amount of MuttGut®, while decreasing the amount of your dog's other food.

MuttGut® Sous Vide beef, chicken, and pork recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages, except for the growth of large breed dogs (70 lbs or more as an adult).
