Problem Ears: Some pets suffer from chronic ear infections or constant damp, itchy ear canals. Happy Hoodie is great for keeping the ears up, leaving the ear canal exposed for aeration. Happy Hoodie is also very useful in preventing ear hematomas caused by excessive head shaking, especially after ear surgery.

Long Facial Hair or Long Ears: For pets who have long ears and facial hair that flops and falls in their food and water bowls, Happy Hoodie is great for keeping these areas clean and out of the way.

Cold Weather: Happy Hoodie can keep your pet's head and ears warm in frigid temperatures, helping to prevent frostbite to the ears.

Please note – when your pet is calm and relaxed, they may not be as receptive to wearing Happy Hoodie; however, most are VERY appreciative wearing it during a stressful situation. Don't be discouraged if your pet doesn't embrace their new anti-anxiety aid if you try it on them when they are not upset.

**Happy Hoodie is not recommended for dogs with a collapsed trachea.**

Instructions

Fully stretch Happy Hoodie out so it more easily goes over your pet’s head, then place it onto their neck. Place their ears flat against their head so air cannot get inside the ear canals, and slide the band back over the top of their head to secure the ears in place. Adjust the width of the band to best fit your pet by folding over excess material once the band is on.

Noise reduction is achieved by Happy Hoodie’s gentle compression closing off the ear canal. It is important to place the ears down over the ear canals so the ear canals are not exposed, then secure them in place with Happy Hoodie. If you think it’s too tight, please know snugness is necessary. If your 4 fingers fit under it, it’s not too tight (it’s very stretchy).

Remove the Happy Hoodie to dry the head, ears, and face. If you are using a force dryer, remove the nozzle when drying the head, ears, and face to keep the drying experience pleasant for your pet.

Care

Machine wash on delicate, dry on low heat or lay flat to dry. Hot water, high heat and bleach will break down the elastic fibers and reduce the life of the product, and are not recommended for use with the Happy Hoodie.

This is a knit product. Please do not wash or dry with any object or material that Happy Hoodie can snag on, such as zippers or Velcro, as this will fray the material. If it does get frayed for any reason, Happy Hoodie is very durable; it will still keep its stretch and compression and won’t “fall apart”. Just snip off the frayed material and keep using it as intended.
