One of the best ways to keep your pet's coat looking fabulous, is by brushing and/or combing them regularly. Consistent use will distribute healthy oils, reduce the formation of mats, and leave pets with a shiny, healthy coat.

Slicker brushes are best for use on medium-coated, long-coated, wire-coated, and curly-coated pets. This type of brush is covered with tightly-packed wire pins angled to go through the coat and avoid the skin.

Product Details

The Artero Bella Double Flexible Slicker is a unique double-sided slicker brush. Use the black side, with its thicker, regular bristles to untangle the coat and de-shed. Use the gray side, with its thinner and irregular bristles to separate and open the coat. This slicker also features an ergonomic bamboo handle.

Directions

Using the slicker brush regularly – ideally every other day (weekly, at a minimum), prevents the coat from becoming extremely dirty or creating knots and mats.

Brushing with this pet brush should last at least 10 minutes and extend to all parts of the body. Always brush your pet in the direction of hair growth, never against it. Use with care, using small strokes and slowly working on small areas at a time.

If your pet's coat is tangled, spritz it with a detangler or leave-in conditioner prior to brushing, to minimize any tugging or pulling of fur.

This brush is available in two sizes – be sure to select the appropriate sized brush for your pet. For example: S for pets up to 30 lbs and M for larger breeds.
